 George Weah, 51, officially declared the president of Liberia, after defeating his 73-year-old opponent, Vice President Joseph Boakai, in a landslide victory.





Former Ballon d’Or winner, George Weah, has been voted president of Liberia after clinching 12 of the 15 counties in the west African country. The striker-turned politician becomes the 25th president of the country.
